SHOW july10th

We are very excited to play at Badlands for our first time. The people that run this venue are good friends of ours and what they are doing with this space is amazing. Please come out for an amazing evening of psychedelic rock and roll the likes of which you will never forget!

just for fun.

Just a few clips of some of Adams recording sessions and some artwork. With Steven Glor at the helm all is calm in any waters.

recording update

We are currently on the cusp of finishing Adam's rhythm guitar tracks. Things are turning out well and it is a very incredible feeling listening and watching the songs take shape and come to life. Every time we move to a new part i find it harder and harder to concentrate on how that take went. I get so lost in listening to the song it self...its a beautiful thing. Closing my eyes and just feeling the wave of sound and emotion take hold, its great... Then i realize I've forgotten to do my part in that moment and listen for possible mistakes. Since the start, we have learned so much about the route we have decided to take in our recording process. Its a great feeling to keep busy with something you love. We expect to be finishing up initial rhythm guitar tracks soon, moving right along to the lead tracks. However, we may have to put recoding sessions aside momentarily as we have a great show scheduled for July 10th. We are very excited to play our first show at the badlands space and hope to see many old friends and make just as many new ones. We will post all the info for the show asap! more to come when there is more to relay.

P.S. smiles from a friend and roof shots of the sunset are more inspiration that words can describe...

...recording update...

Bass tracking can now be considered a thing of the past. Ryan did what he does and got bass complete with flying colors, or sounds rather. Tonight we have moved on to Adams rhythm  guitar parts. After a bit of a rocky start yesterday as we tried different mic placements and tones, today proved to be much more effective. apparently the jam factory walls can be temperamental on certain days, like the best of us. But none the less, tonight was great. with three mics(sm57, rooms and that kick drum mic again) all posted on an orange 4x12 blasting out of an orange rockerverb50 Adam is off to great start. one song down, soon to move to the rest. We will post info as info is available to post.
P.S. tonight could not have happened as well as it did with out our dear friend Aaron Elvis Ferrara. Yet again he has proven to us as individuals and us as a band that he is a true friend, fan and family member. Since the beginning he has offered us nothing but support and encouragement in any way possible and tonight was no different. So from the bottom of our hearts we thank him a thousand times over. we love you brother!

happening as we speak

right now we are in the middle of recording our first release. recorded completely by us in our practice space. which was something we set out to do when we first started this band. a few months back as we realized things were moving quickly, we all decided that we would record on our own. for many reason, financial, stress level, enjoyment, prior studio knowledge, but most of all our passion for what we are going through and where we are trying to take it. being able to put our selves into it completely using microphones, software, amps, drums, knowledge, experience, love and ideas we have all cultivated over our collective musical careers. initial drum tracking for 5 tracks has been done and bass is our next step. using and ampeg 8x10 miced with an sm57 and the kick drum mic, vintage sunn 6X10 with a 57, direct input and two room mics we should get a nice thick fuzzed out beauty of a tone. the jam factory has a nice warm natural tone that is surprising us every time we hear play backs. the drums personally remind me of early mogwai tones. that gritty live sound. we will keep you posted as how things are progressing. P.S. big thanks for our friend Brian for his added support and insight. youve been very helpful.

...Mud Lake...

...biography of sorts...

we cannot ignore a bond created from confusion and desperation. a collective desire to understand the unknown is something that bleeds into what we create. from the experiences our eyes swallow and our hearts attempt to digest, we timidly try to find our own path with what means we understand best. music. this is a project we hope to raise in as many directions as possible. while in the same breath, remain planted to a firm base of love and respect for each other and what we do together. sharing a mutual appreciation for creating, enjoying and playing music allows us to bring cohesiveness to the fact that our personal tastes may be lost on each individuals opinion of what "good" music is...causing an overlapping of inspirations. which provides strength to the honesty we strive for. though we are not ready to consider ourselves entirely an instrumental band, we know exactly what it is we aim for. movement forward...artistically, personally and in any way we may find. in hopes that we can fully appreciate everything that we experience, seen or unseen. we have come across no better definition of who we are than the music we make. listen, enjoy and come to your own conclusions. we consume the river of fire, who's recipe was created by our ancestors.
                                with love and respect always
